Q: What is The Grow bag made from?
A: Our grow bags are made from 100% recycled PET, sourced entirely from used water bottles. This makes it an eco-friendly choice for sustainable gardening.
Q: How long will it last?
A: The grow bag is built for durability and is designed to last several seasons even in tough outdoor conditions. With proper care, you can expect it to withstand repeated use over many years.
Q: Can I use The grow bag for all types of plants?
A: Yes! Our grow bag is ideal for a wide range of plants, including transplanting specimen trees, growing vegetables, or potting up your flower bulbs. It’s also great for small-space gardening.
Q: Can I move my grow bags containers after planting?
A: Absolutely! Our containers are designed to be easy to move thanks to their heavy duty handles, so you can lift, reposition, and plant as needed. The 56l and 78l grow bags can be very heavy when filled with compost, so please be careful.
Q: Can they be folded and stored?
A: Yes! Our containers have a foldable design, making them easy to store at the end of each season. Simply collapse them and store them away to save space.
When it comes to growing plants and crops in containers there are not set rules to follow, however here are a few of my handy guides.
As a general rule it is best to plant only plant one plant per container for the vast majority of crops, but there are some exceptions below. It is also worth considering, the larger the pot the less demanding it will be to water, as larger pots store and hold moisture better than smaller pots.
Below is a basic table which has my recommendations, for the number of plants per pot, but please remember, different varieties are different sizes and spreads, so please use it as a rough guide. Please experiment for yourself, until you find what works best for your own garden and plant varieties.
Herbs: The vast majority of herbs will be happy in 12-22 litre pots, however, my preferred way of growing is to plant multiple herbs in a 39-78 litre pot to keep by your back door, which can act as a fresh spice rack in your garden.
You can also companion plant some crops together in the same container such as tomato and basil in the same pot to save space.
